Avocado Chocolate Mousse
This decadent chocolate mousse is one our favorites. Chocolately and rich, the added avocado creates a delightful creamy texture that is not one you want to miss out on. Plus, the flavor of the avocado is hidden but you still get in the benefits of all the healthy fats and vitamin E loaded in the food. This healthy dessert is delectable and perfect for adding in some hidden nutrients. This recipe is also great for sneaking in some greens for your kiddos! A delicious, nutritious, smooth, and velvety mousse.

Cooking Time: 5 minutes or less
Yields: 1 Serving
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (add more if desired)
- lemon (a few drops)
1. Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse or blend until smooth. Use an immersion or hand held blender for best consistency.
Top with fresh raspberries or strawberries. Add in chia seeds for extra heart-healthy omega fatty acid's and antioxidants. You have the option to smash the avocado with a fork and mix if in a hurry. Also add as much or little of any of the ingredients as desired. Add more or less cacao powder depending on how chocolately you would like it. Add more or less coconut sugar depending on how sweet you would like it.
