Why Make Your Own Oat Milk? 🌾
Store-bought oat milk may seem like a healthy choice, but if you take a closer look at the label, you’ll often find a long list of unnecessary ingredients — from preservatives and gums to artificial flavors and thickeners. These additives can compromise the clean, wholesome nature of what should be a simple, nourishing plant-based milk.
The good news? Making your own oat milk at home is incredibly easy, affordable, and takes just minutes. With only a couple of ingredients and no preservatives, you’ll get a fresh, creamy oat milk that’s perfect for coffee, smoothies, baking, or sipping straight from the glass.
Best of all, homemade oat milk stays fresh in the fridge for up to 4 days. Just store it in a sealed glass jar and give it a quick shake before each use — since it’s free from stabilizers, a little natural separation is completely normal.

Crunchy Mama Tip:
For creamier milk, use less water (start with 3 cups). For a thinner version, use 5 cups. Avoid soaking the oats to reduce sliminess.
