MusiCares Partners with Maven Clinic to Support Music Professionals’ Holistic Health
Music gives so much to the world, but the lives of those who create it are often demanding, unpredictable, and full of unique challenges. MusiCares®, the leading music charity supporting the health and wellness of music professionals, has partnered with Maven Clinic, the world’s largest virtual clinic for women’s and family health, to expand support for musicians’ well-being across every stage of life.
Through this new partnership, eligible music professionals now have year-long access to Maven’s digital platform, offering inclusive care across fertility, parenting, mental health, menopause, and more. This collaboration reflects a growing recognition that health, family planning, and emotional wellness are deeply interconnected with the ability to thrive in both personal and professional life.
Comprehensive, Inclusive Virtual Care
MusiCares clients can connect 24/7 with hundreds of providers across 30 specialties, including OB-GYNs, mental health professionals, pediatricians, career coaches, nutritionists, doulas, and lactation consultants. Care is available in 35 languages, including Spanish, French, German, and Hindi, helping members access culturally responsive support that fits their needs.
Appointments are typically available within an hour, and each member is paired with a dedicated Care Advocate to guide them through their healthcare journey, including connecting to in-person resources when needed. Beyond one-on-one care, members can engage with expert-backed educational content and peer communities tailored to their stage of life.
All virtual care through the Maven app is fully covered for eligible MusiCares clients, with no limits on the number of sessions. In-app copays and costs are funded by MusiCares, and discounted rates may apply if clients are referred to external providers.
Supporting Mental, Emotional, and Reproductive Wellness
“Maven and MusiCares both exist as safety nets for people at crucial points in their lives,” said Theresa Wolters, Interim Executive Director at MusiCares. “Whether a music professional is facing financial hardship, mental health struggles, caregiving responsibilities, or recovery, reproductive health and family building are deeply interconnected with overall well-being. This partnership provides care that sees the whole person.”
By integrating family planning, fertility, mental health, and menopause care, MusiCares and Maven are addressing the holistic needs of music professionals. From touring parents and new mothers navigating postpartum challenges to seasoned artists managing perimenopause, the partnership ensures ongoing, compassionate support for all life stages.

Why This Matters
Access to comprehensive healthcare is essential not only for physical well-being but also for mental and emotional resilience. By connecting music professionals with inclusive, holistic care, this partnership helps artists maintain balance in their lives, supporting their ability to create, perform, and thrive.
MusiCares and Maven’s collaboration is a meaningful example of how targeted, accessible health resources can empower individuals in demanding careers to prioritize their wellness—proving that supporting the humans behind the music is as important as the music itself.
